Big engine, big cooling–keeping the V8S10 at temperature
To fit the cooling system, I swapped radiator shroud and deflector/tray over from a V6 S10 that was sitting around. The radiator got a little dent in from being in the way of the shop door as it closed. *Oops*. You can see the dent in the radiator, in the third picture down of the last S10 post and under the hose curve at the photograph below. I torched the upper water neck on the water pump and turned it in the water pump and ran an upper hose from a Silverado.
Fan shroud in place here. It serves as the upper radiator hold down as well.

I found a lower hose at the parts store and cut it down to fit. Heater core hoses were just straight heater hose. New clamps and we have coolant!
