Wiring Harness Routed

I don’t have any pictures of doing the harness, but it doesn’t look anything special. I purposely put all the corrugated plastic back on it in spots. I used all factory wires, factory fuse box and factory computer. I flashed it to a 2002 Silverado—they have the least smog equipment for any of these cable throttle body trucks. But we left you off right about here. The engine and transmission are mounted, exhaust is made, and wiring is starting to be fished and hooked up.

I also bought a tube intake for the truck. One of the OEM snorkels would just look silly in there. This one has a CARB EO #, too—but again, I had to modify it. So hopefully I don’t get caught bending the rules. A few measures and cuts and the intake is in place.

And every good car that you’re going to spend a lot of time in needs A/C. (Did I hear you say A/C?!?! Yes, it’s got air conditioning! How’s that for pro touring!?) So I notched the frame to fit the A/C compressor and lines. Boxed in and braced the notches and painted the metal. I cut new refrigerant hose to length and had ends crimped up to fit.

So the factory spot ended up being the winner and I notched and braced the cuts from inside the frame rail instead.
